BiP School Parent Assistant brings exam results and class groups into one channel
BiP’s School Parent Assistant, offered in cooperation with Türkiye’s Ministry of National Education, brings school information from exam grades to attendance records to parents’ phones. New class chat groups also allow teachers to communicate using verified parent contact information.
Access to e-Okul information during exam periods

School Parent Assistant, known in Turkish as Okul Veli Asistanı or OVA, is available within Turkcell’s BiP messaging application. The channel brings together different parts of a student’s education journey. Parents can follow exam results, exam dates, attendance records, school-transfer details and announcements from the Ministry of National Education. Its functions also include arranging appointments with teachers and joining class chat groups.
Parents access the channel through BiP’s “Discover” area. On first use, they verify their identity through e-Devlet, connect to the e-Okul system and add the relevant student. The service can therefore provide information based on a verified parent–student relationship alongside general announcements. Turkcell says the channel is free to join and available to users of all mobile operators.
The company says usage increases particularly around the dates when exam results are announced. However, the release does not give a new user total or transaction-volume figure for this period.
Automatically created class groups for teachers
One of the features introduced for the new school year is automatic creation of class groups on BiP. The Teacher Information Service uses parent contact information verified in the ministry’s systems to help establish the groups. Parents can join through invitations delivered by the OVA channel and SMS, reducing the need for teachers to collect phone numbers individually and assemble contact lists.
Only teachers can post messages in these class announcement groups. According to the company, teachers’ and parents’ phone numbers are not openly displayed to other group members. An AI-supported Board feature helps categorise important posts so that parents can find them later. Teachers manage the communication process through menus provided by the Teacher Information Service.
BiP Director Eren Önal says the channel is intended to answer the need for secure information flowing through a single point in education. He describes the new group functions as a way to make exchanges between teachers and parents easier.
Separate conversations for parents

Parents can also join a separate chat consisting only of parents in the same class, without teachers. AI-supported summaries in these groups help users catch up on lengthy exchanges they could not follow in real time. This is distinct from the announcement group in which only teachers post.
BiP is available on iOS and Android. Turkcell says OVA information is stored in encrypted form in data centres in Türkiye. Use without deduction from a mobile data allowance depends on the relevant operator’s tariff and package conditions; it is not an unconditional internet service for every subscription.
