Hyundai presents all-new BAYON and TUCSON in Paris
Hyundai presented the all-new BAYON, the European version of TUCSON and TUCSON N Line at the Paris Motor Show. The electric STARIA Cargo, connected services and robotics also featured in its programme.
More space and a hybrid plan for BAYON

Hyundai’s 12 October announcement positions the all-new BAYON around a stronger SUV identity and connected features. It lists 440 litres of luggage space, additional rear legroom and equipment-dependent comfort options. Digital Key 2, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and optional dual 12.3-inch curved displays are also included.
The 1.0 T-GDI engine will have 90 PS and 115 PS versions. A 1.6 HEV hybrid is planned for 2027, with an anticipated 138 PS and CO₂ starting from 102 g/km. These hybrid figures remain projected specifications. N Line adds 18-inch wheels and dedicated interior and exterior details.
TUCSON combines Pleos Connect with multiple powertrains

The new TUCSON uses Android Automotive OS-based Pleos Connect. Announced options include a 12.9- or 17-inch central display, a 9.9-inch driver display and Gleo AI voice assistance. Over-the-air updates for selected systems, Digital Key 2 and an equipment-dependent 12-speaker Bang & Olufsen system form part of the digital offering.
The hybrid produces 245 PS and 380 Nm, while the plug-in hybrid offers 292 PS and 380 Nm. The PHEV has a 17.1 kWh battery and 7.2 kW AC charging. Its estimated electric range of up to 81 km on 17-inch wheels is subject to final homologation. A 150 PS 1.6 T-GDI petrol option is also listed. A 695-litre boot, wider-opening rear doors and different seat options support practicality.
STARIA Cargo, Waymo and robotics

The electric STARIA Cargo is described with up to 450 km WLTP range and 10–80% charging in 20 minutes under suitable conditions. Its 800 V architecture accompanies a 160 kW motor, payload up to 1,040 kg, 2,000 kg towing capacity and room for three Euro pallets. Vehicle-to-load output reaches 3.5 kW.
Hyundai and Waymo will assess extending their autonomous-mobility partnership internationally; this is not confirmation that services have begun in every market. Boston Dynamics’ Spot was among the robotics exhibits. Hyundai’s UEFA Champions League partnership, covering 2026/27 through 2030/31, also featured.
The Paris announcement concerns European product plans. Turkish powertrains, equipment, prices and availability require separate announcements. Driver-assistance functions should not be interpreted as full autonomy removing the driver’s responsibilities.
