TEMSA’s Avenue Neo electric city bus received awards in the mass-transportation and bus categories of European Product Design Award 2026. The nine-metre model combines a compact body with capacity for 75 passengers.

Two awards for one design approach
TEMSA, jointly owned by Sabancı Holding and PPF Group, announced awards for Avenue Neo in Automotive & Transport / Mass Transportation and its Bus subcategory. The development was shared in the 1 October press release.
Developed by TEMSA Design Studio, the model reflects the company’s emphasis on people, sustainability and digitalisation. Simple surfaces, clear lines and balanced proportions are intended to fit the urban environment. The award concerns design evaluation rather than a comparison of operating performance under every condition.
Passenger space and accessibility
The interior emphasises an open layout, sightlines and warm materials. Passenger movement, accessibility and ease of use are central to a city bus. Considering interior layout alongside exterior appearance extends the design beyond a purely visual object.
TEMSA says the vehicle was developed for central urban routes as well as distant districts of large cities. Its nine-metre body aims to bring capabilities associated with longer buses into a compact format. Stated passenger capacity is 75.
Electric architecture and charging figures
TEMSA lists range up to 600 km and charging to 100% in 75 minutes through a 300 kW DC connection. The short release does not specify the initial charge level, so the time should not be interpreted as a universal empty-to-full guarantee. Range is also a manufacturer figure that varies with route, weather, passenger load and operation.
Alongside design, TEMSA engineers handled battery packaging, software and development. The awards represent international recognition of the design aspect of that work. Deployment in a particular city or new deliveries would require separate operator announcements.
