Sintek’s Dutch headquarters achieves A+++ energy rating
Sintek B.V. has announced an A+++ energy rating for its headquarters in Bussum, the Netherlands. The energy performance certificate shared by the company puts the building’s calculated renewable-energy share at 71%.
Energy upgrades in a building dating from 1935
The energy performance certificate for the headquarters was registered on 7 October 2026. Sintek says the building, originally constructed in 1935, uses a heat pump and solar panels. These measures form part of its work to reduce the existing building’s energy requirements and increase the use of renewable sources.

According to the certificate described in the press release, calculated annual primary fossil-energy use is 79.66 kWh per square metre. The company says this is below the voluntary renovation-standard threshold of 80 kWh per square metre per year specified for the building.
A calculation under standard conditions
The performance assessment considers insulation, heating, hot water, ventilation and lighting under standardised usage and climate conditions. The reported share and consumption figure are calculated indicators, rather than actual bills or a measure of consumption under every operating condition.
Sintek B.V. CEO İlker Bozkurt describes energy efficiency as part of the company’s working culture. The business aims to apply the efficiency approach used in its engineering projects to its own workplaces as well.
