Zoho Analytics adds AI agents to data analysis with Ask Zia
Zoho has announced an Ask Zia framework comprising six specialised agents for tasks ranging from data preparation to visualisation. The Analytics update aims to help businesses analyse data using shared definitions and governance controls.
Six specialised agents across the analytics workflow

The update positions Ask Zia beyond a single question-and-answer interface. Six specialised agents handle data preparation, modelling, analysis, visualisation, code and SQL. Together, they are intended to turn business questions into the necessary technical steps and present the results in an understandable form.
Accurate natural-language answers depend on more than a model’s language capabilities. Data quality and the way a company defines its business concepts also affect the outcome. The semantic layer and ontology approach therefore form a significant part of the update, allowing teams to align definitions instead of calculating the same indicator differently across departments.
Connections, coding and data science

Zoho says more than 30 new connectors, including SAP, PayPal, Adobe Commerce, Twilio, Notion and Intercom, bring the total above 500. They expand the options for bringing information from separate applications into the analytics environment. Each integration remains subject to the source service’s access and configuration requirements.
Data Science Studio includes Jupyter and PMML support. The aim is to accommodate coding-focused data teams and business users working with visual reports within the same environment. MCP support is also part of the tools for connecting custom agents with existing workflows.
Governance and rollout schedules

The announcement includes access controls, audit records, cost management, testing and rollback mechanisms. These controls are relevant to using automated analysis within corporate responsibilities and data-access rules. An agent’s ability to generate a query or chart does not remove the need to assess its output.
Zoho describes more than 50 additions overall. Cloud rollout and preview features do not share one availability date: certain ontology, semantic and paginated-reporting components have a stated preview window of four to eight weeks. The corresponding on-premises release is planned for the first quarter of 2027.
