RevenueCat: overseas markets provide 89% of Turkish developers’ subscription revenue
Türkiye-based developers on RevenueCat generated 89.2% of subscription revenue overseas during September 2025–August 2026, according to the platform’s research.
International revenue dominates the sample

RevenueCat research covering September 2025 to August 2026 shows that Türkiye-based mobile app developers on its platform earned 89.2% of subscription revenue outside their home market. The equivalent global figure was 62%. The previous-period figure for Türkiye-based developers was 87.6%.
The findings apply to developers using the RevenueCat platform, rather than representing every application business in Türkiye. Within that platform, Türkiye ranked among the top five countries by the number of developers generating at least USD 100 in annual subscription revenue.
North America is the largest regional market
North America contributed 37.6% of subscription revenue for the Türkiye-based developers studied, followed by Western Europe at 16.1% and Latin America at 13.6%. The United States was the largest individual country market, accounting for 35.6%.
The applications generated subscription revenue across more than 200 countries and regions. Revenue from Latin America increased 108% over the previous year, while India and Southeast Asia grew 61% and Western Europe grew 42%, according to the research.
Growth differs across app categories
On a same-application basis, subscription revenue for the Türkiye-based developers rose 38% compared with the preceding year. The corresponding global same-application growth figure was 33%.
Tools and utilities represented the largest category share at 33.9%, followed by media and entertainment at 21.7% and productivity at 11.9%. Subscription revenue in tools and utilities increased 132%. The figures highlight both the international reach of the sample and the different rates of growth across application types.
Istanbul App Week brings the findings into discussion
The research forms part of the agenda for Istanbul App Week, organised by Neon Apps and RevenueCat from 2 to 8 November 2026. The announcement describes more than 30 planned events and a target of over 2,000 participants, covering the subscription economy, AI, user acquisition and international growth.
Neon Apps co-founder Tuna Öztürk said the results demonstrate developers’ ability to reach international markets. He emphasised pricing, customer acquisition and retention strategies alongside technical capability. He said the event aims to connect developers with international technology companies, investors and professional networks, helping create further partnerships and global growth opportunities.
