AMSTERDAM, THE NETHERLANDS – October 6, 2026 – Neon Giant, the creative studio under KRAFTON, Inc., has announced that The Ascent Ultimate Edition is now available for pre-order on Nintendo Switch 2.
The Nintendo Switch 2 version will launch as The Ascent Ultimate Edition, featuring the base game as well as the Cyber Heist, CyberSec Pack, and Cyber Warrior Pack DLCs. The edition will be available exclusively as a digital release on December 3.
The Ultimate Edition is now available for pre-order on the Nintendo eShop and will be offered at a 10% discount until launch.
Alongside the opening of pre-orders, Neon Giant released a new Nintendo Switch 2 trailer for The Ascent. The trailer takes players on a journey through the neon-lit streets and industrial environments of Veles, showcasing the weapons, equipment, and cybernetic enhancements they use to fight waves of incoming enemies. It also highlights both single-player and co-op gameplay, offering a glimpse of the fast-paced action players can experience alone or alongside others.
Before the Nintendo Switch 2 release, Neon Giant announced that it will release a “Legacy Patch” for the PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation versions of the game on November 19. In addition to localization improvements and HDR support, the update will address major issues in co-op mode related to teleportation, encounter systems, saving, and character progression. These fixes and improvements will also be included in the Nintendo Switch 2 version.
Set in Veles, a cyberpunk world controlled by corporations, The Ascent is an action role-playing shooter that can be played solo or in co-op with up to four players. Players can combine a variety of weapons and cybernetic enhancements to suit their preferred playstyle. Since its launch in 2021, more than 12 million players have entered the world of The Ascent.
