Dyson combines the pioneering flexible plate technology of its Corrale™ hair straightener with the new Corrale CoolShine™ cooling attachment to reduce heat damage by up to 29%. Together, these two technologies transform hair straightening from a process based solely on heat into an advanced styling experience focused on performance, precision, and hair health.

Heat Removal Technology: Styling Beyond Heat

Drawing on Dyson’s extensive expertise in advanced thermal engineering, including heat-pipe principles used in technologies such as Dyson Solarcycle lighting, the Corrale CoolShine™ hair straightener uses heat pipes in its cooling attachment to remove excess heat from the hair during styling.

Dyson Solarcycle lighting uses heat-pipe technology to help manage thermal performance and maintain long-lasting light quality. In the Corrale CoolShine™, the same engineering principle is applied to hair styling: heat is drawn away from the hair after each pass, helping to reduce heat damage.

At the heart of the Corrale CoolShine™ is Dyson’s pioneering removable cooling attachment, engineered with copper heat pipes. As heat is applied during styling, these pipes draw excess heat away from the hair, cooling it during the process and helping to create long-lasting styles.

The Corrale CoolShine™ delivers sleek, smooth, straight results with up to 29% less heat damage during styling. Hair feels cooler to the touch and remains soft and shiny, with up to 154% more shine compared with untreated hair.

Flexible Plates Designed for Greater Control and Fewer Passes

Dyson’s flexible plates are engineered to adapt around the hair, bringing strands together and aligning them during styling. By increasing control and contact along each section of hair, the plates support more precise styling when straightening or creating curls and waves, while helping to reduce the need for repeated passes with heat.

Traditional hair straighteners use rigid plates that can apply uneven pressure, allowing strands to escape the plates during styling. As a result, users may need to pass over the same section repeatedly, exposing the hair to high temperatures for longer.

With improved control over how hair is held and flexes during styling, the Corrale CoolShine™ hair straightener delivers effective results with less thermal stress.³

Precise Heat Control

The hair straightener offers four specially engineered temperature settings: 145°C, 165°C, 185°C, and 210°C. This allows users to tailor their styling routine to different hair types and desired looks.

Lower temperatures support refreshing existing styles and styling with less damage, while the 210°C setting helps create more defined transformations for wavy and curly hair.

Thanks to its rapid heat-up capability, the device is ready to use in just 15 seconds. Precise temperature control ensures that heat is applied according to the user's needs rather than by default.
