  • The next-generation HPE ProLiant DL525 and HPE ProLiant DL585a Gen13 servers deliver higher core density, memory bandwidth, and I/O capacity to run compute-intensive workloads at enterprise scale.
  • Built on Open Compute Project (OCP) standards, the HPE ProLiant XD245 and HPE ProLiant XD285 Gen13 servers provide higher rack density through more efficient power distribution and cooling.

ISTANBUL – October 8, 2026 – HPE (NYSE: HPE) today announced four new HPE ProLiant Gen13 servers powered by 6th Generation AMD EPYC™ Server processors. The new systems increase compute power, memory, and I/O capacity to help businesses accelerate agentic AI, inference, analytics, virtualization, simulation, and modeling workloads, while strengthening security, simplifying operations, and delivering reliability across distributed IT environments.

As AI systems move beyond generating insights to taking autonomous actions, trust is becoming a prerequisite for scaling adoption. According to McKinsey’s 2026 AI Trust Maturity Survey, approximately two-thirds of respondents consider security and risk concerns the biggest barriers to deploying agentic AI at scale [1]. In this evolving environment, HPE ProLiant Gen13 provides a trusted infrastructure foundation that combines HPE iLO 8 innovations for automated protection, secure infrastructure, and post-quantum readiness with the enhanced visibility and control capabilities of HPE Compute Ops Management, helping customers overcome security and operational challenges.

Krista Satterthwaite, Senior Vice President and General Manager of HPE Compute, said: “Organizations need to turn their investments in agentic AI and inference into business value without increasing operational complexity or risk. HPE ProLiant Gen13 combines performance optimized for these workloads with built-in autonomous security, intelligent operations, and proven reliability. We provide customers with a trusted foundation to modernize and innovate today while adapting to evolving needs.”

Dan McNamara, Senior Vice President and General Manager of AMD Compute and Enterprise AI, added: “AI is becoming central to enterprise applications and operations, fundamentally changing what organizations expect from their infrastructure. Across multiple generations of AMD EPYC CPUs and HPE ProLiant servers, our teams have worked closely together to translate advances in processor and system design into tangible customer value. With 6th Generation AMD EPYC processors and HPE ProLiant Gen13, we are delivering the performance, efficiency, and flexibility businesses need to scale AI while modernizing the mission-critical workloads that underpin their operations.”

AI-Ready Performance for Enterprise Workloads

HPE is strengthening its leadership in enterprise computing with the introduction of new HPE ProLiant Gen13 servers that simplify the path to innovation and provide customers with the trusted infrastructure foundation they need for the AI era. Combining HPE engineering with 6th Generation AMD EPYC Server processors delivers higher core density, memory bandwidth, and I/O capacity.

The HPE ProLiant DL585a Gen13 Server offers a future-ready, high-density platform designed to support up to eight double-width PCIe GPUs, two 6th Generation AMD EPYC Server processors, and PCIe Gen6 connectivity. The server maximizes GPU utilization, token-processing capacity, and PCIe bandwidth across the platform to support demanding workloads, including AI inference, virtualization, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), model fine-tuning, analytics, and emerging agentic AI applications.

The HPE ProLiant DL525 Gen13 Server is a compact, performance-optimized 1U, single-socket system powered by a single 6th Generation AMD EPYC Server processor supporting up to 256 cores. Its high-bandwidth, 16-channel memory architecture supports high-speed, high-performance DDR5 and MRDIMM memory, while PCIe Gen6 connectivity makes the system ideal for data-intensive workloads such as fraud detection, market data processing, risk and pricing models, electronic design automation (EDA), simulation, and AI inference.

For large-scale, compute-intensive applications, HPE is introducing two additional systems designed to maximize computing performance in a smaller footprint: the HPE ProLiant XD245 Gen13 and HPE ProLiant XD285 Gen13. These OCP-compliant servers combine high-density computing capacity with efficient shared power and cooling systems to support data-intensive AI and high-performance computing (HPC) workloads.

The HPE ProLiant XD245 Gen13 Server uses a four-node, direct liquid-cooled design within one Open Rack Unit (1OU), delivering high compute density and powered by up to eight 6th Generation AMD EPYC Server processors.

The HPE ProLiant XD285 Gen13 Server uses a two-node, air-cooled design within two Open Rack Units (2OU), enabling the architecture to be deployed across a broader range of data center environments.

Designed to process large rack-scale simulations, complex computational models, and datasets, these systems provide the capacity, bandwidth, and infrastructure flexibility—including cooling and accelerator options—required for CPU-intensive workloads such as computer-aided engineering (CAE), weather and climate modeling, scientific research, and financial modeling.

The HPE ProLiant Gen13 family will continue to expand beyond the newly announced systems, offering customers more options for core enterprise applications, edge computing, virtualization, software-defined infrastructure, databases, and AI workloads.

Automated Security and Simplified Operations

HPE ProLiant Gen13 combines the automated security capabilities of HPE Integrated Lights-Out 8 (iLO 8) with the advanced capabilities of HPE Compute Ops Management to protect data and system integrity while simplifying deployment and lifecycle operations.

New features introduced with HPE ProLiant Gen13, including industry-first capabilities, include:

  • Industry-first automated self-encrypting drive (Auto-SED) server capabilities: Protect stored data from the first power-on without requiring additional configuration, external key managers, or manual activation.
  • Industry-first multi-person authorization (MPA): Requires approval from two authorized users for highly sensitive operations, including key provisioning and secure erasure, reducing the risk of errors or misuse by a single user.
  • Industry-first expanded post-quantum cryptography (PQC) readiness: Extends beyond firmware to help protect server communication pathways against emerging threats.
  • Enterprise-grade component verification: Built on HPE Silicon Root of Trust technology, this capability verifies the authenticity and integrity of critical server components throughout the server lifecycle whenever components are added, replaced, or modified.

New capabilities in HPE Compute Ops Management help customers manage HPE ProLiant Gen13 infrastructure more efficiently and resiliently through streamlined deployment, compliance monitoring, and near-real-time power capacity insights. Organizations using HPE Compute Ops Management spend 50% less time on server management and achieve a 209% return on investment (ROI) [2].

Proven Reliability for Evolving Infrastructure Needs

Every new generation of HPE ProLiant undergoes more than 1,000 tests and 10,000 hours of validation to help deliver the consistent performance, availability, and resilience businesses rely on. This includes advanced stress and edge-case testing that pushes systems beyond their expected operating limits.

Reliability has been the leading purchasing consideration for HPE ProLiant customers for four consecutive years. Eighty-one percent of customers identify reliable performance as a key differentiator compared with other server providers, while support cases are resolved twice as fast [3].

In addition, HPE Tech Care Service further strengthens resilience by reducing unplanned downtime by up to 97%, helping customers prevent, detect, and resolve issues as their infrastructure needs evolve [4].
