ASELSAN commissions two solar plants with homegrown PULSAR inverters
ASELSAN has commissioned two solar power plants intended to cover its production energy needs with renewable electricity. CEO Ahmet Akyol told Anadolu Agency on November 8 that the investment supports expanding production while seeking to reduce energy costs and the company’s carbon footprint.
PULSAR inverters enter service
The plants use ASELSAN’s PULSAR inverters, whose design and software were developed in-house. This is their first deployment in a solar power project. Inverters convert the direct current generated by photovoltaic panels into alternating current suitable for the grid.
The company expects the plants to prevent approximately 121,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions annually. This is a projection, not an independently measured annual result.

Growth and sustainability
Akyol puts ongoing investments at $3 billion and average annual growth above 25%. ASELSAN also highlights its ambition to retain first place in the Sustainability Index and its status as Türkiye’s first organisation to obtain the Blue Water Efficiency Certificate.
